Center for Hearing is offering some friendly advice on how to take preventative steps to protect your hearing.
- Get a baseline hearing test: Talk to your physician at your next physical about routine hearing tests. Schedule with one of our audiologists at your earliest convenience to start your hearing care process
- Wear protective hearing equipment: ear plugs, ear muffs and protective headphones are a great and easy way to prevent noise damage to your ears. Concerts, crowded outings, yard equipment, sporting events, fireworks and public transport are all potential hazards to your hearing.
- Monitor your listening devices: when it comes to listening to your music, watching TV or talking on your phone, be sure to maintain a healthy listening volume.
- Center for Hearing can make custom molds of your ear canal to better protect your ears. Custom ear molds can be worn for a safer music listening experience and for blocking out unwanted noise.
